Rabbit House is a place and a person.

Rabbit House the person, is Illustrator Grant Conboy. When moving to Amsterdam from the United States, Grant decided to change his professional name to Rabbit House to be more easily remembered and less confused with a country music singer

Rabbit House the place is home to a collection work from local artists in Amsterdam. In the back of the shop there’s a workshop space, to which we invite the public to join our printmaking courses on a weekly basis.

Why rabbits? Well, it’s the Chinese zodiac of Grant’s birth year, 1987, also the same as the year Rabbit House officially opened in 2023. There’s also something beautiful and mysterious about the humble rabbit, its spirit best aligns with his artwork. Humble and quiet with a surprise beauty found in the ordinary.
