Laurierboom is one of Amsterdam's classic bruine kroegen — the warm, worn-in brown cafés that have been the heartbeat of neighbourhood life in this city for centuries. Nothing fancy. Just good beer, familiar faces, and a window that glows like an invitation on a dark evening.
For Grant, this corner on Eerste Laurier Dwarsstraat was a ritual. A walk with the dog, a pause at the window, a quiet pint before heading home around the corner. The kind of simple, unremarkable pleasure that quietly becomes one of the things you love most about a place.
